Understanding PTSD
PTSD can develop after combat, violence, accidents, disaster response, repeated exposure to traumatic calls, or other serious events. It is not a sign of weakness or a character flaw. Symptoms can affect sleep, mood, relationships, concentration, and the ability to feel safe even when the danger is over.
Some people feel constantly keyed up. Others shut down, isolate, or become angry faster than they used to. Effective care starts by understanding what symptoms are actually happening and then choosing the right mix of counseling, medication management, safety planning, sleep support, and TMS evaluation when depression or OCD is also present.
At RSLNT, the goal is not to make you retell everything before you are ready. The first step is a clear, confidential evaluation and a plan that fits your real life.
Flashbacks — reliving the traumatic event as if it's happening now
Hypervigilance — constantly scanning for threats, inability to relax
Nightmares and severe sleep disturbances
Emotional numbing — feeling detached or unable to experience positive emotions
Avoidance of people, places, or situations that trigger memories
Anger, irritability, or explosive outbursts
Difficulty concentrating or remembering details
Exaggerated startle response to sudden sounds or movements
How Care Works
We do not treat trauma with a one-size-fits-all script. We screen symptoms, identify safety concerns, review prior treatment, and build a care plan that may include therapy, medication management, and TMS evaluation for depression or OCD.
TMS is considered when major depression or OCD is part of the clinical picture. We verify fit, contraindications, and insurance before treatment begins.
Counseling can address avoidance, triggers, relationship strain, moral injury, grief, and the patterns that keep your nervous system on duty.
When medication is appropriate, prescribing is practical and measured. We track benefits, side effects, sleep, and daily function.
Built for Those Who Served
RSLNT Wellness was built with veterans and service-minded people in mind. We understand that military and responder cultures value toughness, but asking for help is not weakness. It is a practical step toward getting your sleep, relationships, work, and sense of control back.
Your Treatment Journey
We review symptoms, safety, sleep, prior treatment, and your goals. We verify insurance before you commit to anything.
Your care team identifies whether counseling, medication management, TMS, or a combination makes the most sense.
If TMS is appropriate, sessions are scheduled in-office. Counseling and medication follow-up are coordinated around your real schedule.
We track symptoms and function over time so changes are visible and the plan can adjust when needed.
FAQ
TMS is FDA-cleared for major depressive disorder and OCD. If PTSD symptoms are present with depression or OCD, we evaluate whether TMS belongs in the broader care plan. Trauma-focused counseling and medication management may also be recommended.
A standard TMS course is commonly 30-36 sessions over about 6 weeks, with sessions lasting roughly 20-40 minutes depending on protocol. You remain awake and can usually return to normal activities afterward.
Often, yes. TMS may be used alongside medications, but the final plan depends on your history, diagnosis, safety screening, and prescribing provider. Never change or stop medication without your clinician.
TRICARE covers outpatient TMS for adults with major depressive disorder when criteria are met. We verify benefits and prior authorization requirements before treatment begins.
Yes. RSLNT Wellness is veteran-founded and built to support veterans, active-duty service members, police, fire, EMS, dispatch, corrections, and rescue professionals.
Yes. We screen sleep, nightmares, hypervigilance, anxiety, and mood because they often travel together after trauma. Treatment may include counseling, medication management, lifestyle planning, and TMS evaluation when depression or OCD is part of the clinical picture.
